Please help, I dont know if this is a scam or not. competitions?
I got a call today from the resort villages of competitions in Tyler said I had won, when I filled out one of the cards in the mall. they say I get to choose out of these 3 holidays and then get a scratch off when I go up there and win 1 out of 4 prizes including a car. its 2 hours away and im wondering if it is a scam. please let me know! I got the introduction of the mall. one of the stands, where you just fill out the card and put it in the box. they say you get a free ride no matter what. and then you get a scrape and see which prize you get out of 4 but you get a atlease. but i just dont know if I should bother considering its a 2 hour drive and I dont want to get suckered into having to buy anything.
You may have completed one of their cards at the mall, only you will know. I would warn against giving information on a card at the mall without understanding clearly what you are getting into. Scam artists work even under these circumstances. As you enter, go back to claim your prize. It is suspicious. They will probably try to sell you something. If you decide to follow up, do not sign anything that does not give more information until you know exactly where you stand and read the fine print. You have the right not to get involved. IMHO you will not win the car.
