cost of a PDTI certified CDL school for tractor trailers?
Im looking at getting my CDL.I dont want to fund and get locked into a contract or ripped off completely so I wonder what a PDTI certified school would cost.Found one and its around $ 3500.00 with lodging.plus they help you find a job if you qualify and are hiring.I live in Florida but can travel to it.Any suggestions? Please have cost along with your answers or a link.Thanx!
3500.00 acting on average by most schools.It sounds pretty reasonable with costs lodge included.I've seen colleges that have adult courses that truck drivers are avaiable run around 7000.00 and thats without lodging.A good things about the school you are talking about is you eat sleep and running in about three weeks.THey will get you to drive at night, mountain areas, where they are close. you will get a lot of practical driving time.Thats why you get the lodging.So you will be avaiable at all times of the day.Plus there is a shortage of drivers right now, and the trucking industry is heavily involved in these schools to offer a driving jobs for new graduetes.The starting pay insnt to poor either.My son and I both have class A license, but I dont do much driving longer because of the nite blindness, but my son drives a lot and the more time you get under your belt, the more money gets.Having a CDL certification is like having money in your wallet, even if you decide you might want to take a break from driving, you can always go back and find a driving job is much easier then most regulad jobs.And as I said starting wages are usually much better than most entry level positions.
