My son is 2 years, 5 months old. Is a travel size pillow (from Walmart) okay for him to use?
Pillow we bought is about 4 inches thick. I know that he is past the SIDS stage, but I am a first time mom and I a little nervous about letting him use a pillow. He balls up his blankets and use them as a pillow.
He'll be fine. I allowed my son to use regular pads when he was 2 years old. Infants are different. Besides the concern over SIDS, babies do not have highly developed motor skills. They can get themselves into a pillow and could not pull himself up enough so they suffocate. Your 2 years old is far more developed than a helpless infant. I'm sure he can run, jump and climb everywhere now. lol Moving your face away from a pillow should not be no problem.
