What items should I definitely register?
What we will not be able to live without the first six months to a year with a new baby? I know all children and situations differently, but I want to be handy when I record. Some things we get as hand me downs from family. We already have a crib, pool, bouncy castle, swing, play mat, pack n play, and tons of clot.
Will you have enough crib mattress and sheets, and pool them? I made sure to have a couple of waterproof mattress pads and lots of extra pages too, so you can change them easily at night if needed and have enough to carry you over until you can do the laundry. Other than what you have already mentioned, the only extra thing I can think on the towels and wash cloths, changing pads, and also larger size onesies.
