DVC Disney Vacation Club sales and resale info?

My wife and I are looking to buy into DVC or Disney Vacation Club. We have looked at the figures and they look well. I was wondering if anyone has any info that can help Thanks Just some more info. We are about to get our home resort at Animal Kingdom. Points are at $ 112 per item and we will get a $ 15 a point discount. If we buy this Sunday, we will get our point total again so we will double our points in one day. We had to make our home resort in California for the same deal but we wanted the Animal Kingdom, so us and our children can see animals go outside our windows. So we are happy. Does anyone know or have stayed at Animal Kingdom and know what floor is the best to see the animals? Got something to say about any of the other resorts? I stayed at the Old Key West many years ago as a hotel with my wife when she was my G / F (shhhhh do not tell) and it was wonderful. We just really want the animals to our children. Thanks

You should really think about where you will want to live most of the time and makes your home resort. Then look at the scatter of resorting to figure how many points to buy. (Would you go every year or every other?). For example, a one-bedroom Savanah view room at Animal Kingdom for seven nights cost 242 points in June, or 209 points in September (2011). So if you go every year, perhaps you 225 points. You can book your home resort at 11 months, and others 7 months out. Many people consider the sale of Hilton Head or Vero Beach for cheaper buy-in. But you want to stay at Disney, you'd never be able to make a reservation until seven months and it may be harder to get. Also, those resorts have much higher annual fee.
