Missing Parts Question … HELP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?
I have a model kit of an airplane that is about 90 percent complete. I have not worked on it for over a year. I broke it out today because I plan to finish it soon, and discovered a large part is missing. Without that part of the set is virtually destroyed. Who can I call that may be able to find me this part for a low price??
I would contact the manufacturer of the model kit and see if they can send you a new sprue. Some model companies will send replacement sprues free if a part was missing, but since you've had the kit open for a while, they may charge you for replacement. Otherwise, they send you a replacement model kit – but not all model kiit companies have similar customer service policies, so you may be stuck having to buy a second copy the model for the missing part. I have found that the cost of spare parts, plus postage, plus the time waiting to get it, it is sometimes cheaper just to buy a second kit.
