Do I need a kind of license to fly nitro planes in a field?
I built a nitro trainer plane from a kit and its wingspan is 63 inches long and weighs about 2 to 3 kg. It came with a CD simulation, and it seems pretty easy to fly, so I decided to go try it in a local area where theres signs everywhere warn people rc airplanes are flown here, but I would need a permit or something?
Yes I agree with Paul. It is common throughout the world that there is a local club or organization that will help you especially on the issues of security, legality and of course if the local government requires a license for it. Because flying at a level is no longer a toy. You can browse the Internet on the national and local RC club forums near you and they are very willing to help you. Enjoy safe flying it's very rewarding. I began fly RCplanes and heli since 2003.
